I think you need to tell us what you're actually trying to do, "setting up General MIDI numbers" doesn't really mean anything. General MIDI (GM) is a standard set of 128 instruments on a GM compatible audio synthesizer (1-128) that can be played on all MIDI channels apart from MIDI channel 10. MIDI channel 10 is usually reserved for Drumkits. Because of this standard, if you're using a GM instrument set on your computer or synthesizer (regardles of manufacturer), instruments 1-8 are Pianos, instruments 113-120 are percussive instruments and so on. However GM doesn't guarantee the quality or 'realism' of the instruments, this would depend on the quality and/or manufacturer of the synthesizer (in a keyboard, standalone or on a computer sound card) The full GM patch instrument assignment can be found HERE.
