This is doin my 'ead in - Sygate Firewall pops up every 3 - 5 minutes and tells me that an application named NT Kernal & System has been blocked form accessing the network. From what I can find out, this a legit application and I don't remember blocking it. However, blocked it is and I cannot find anyway of unblocking it via Sygate. Can anyone help me - can I unblock it, should I unblock it - or is it a sodding virus?? If someone can help before my PC takes an unscheduled flight through the window I would be very grateful.

To access Sygate's blocked applications list just right click on the Sygate system tray icon (near the clock on you taskbar) and select Applications.
If your normal internet access is unaffected by the Windows kernel being blocked leave it blocked.
To unblock the kernel, just remove the appropriate entry in the applications list.
When Sygate alerts you again about the Windows kernel's attempt to access the internet look for the option to prevent Sygate from alerting you in the future before selecting to block or allow access.
