PLEASE HELP i have windows xp pro it keeps shutting down and restarting and i dont know why n dont know how to resolve it. i had it reformatted couple of months back and service pack 2 on . but have had this problem almost from start. sometimes it dosnt happen for days n days . sometimes it happens often

Hi, If you don't get any blue screen with error messages then the chances are that your CPU is overheating. This is usually caused by the restriction of airflow through the case or by leaving the side off, enabling dust to gather on the heatsink which sits on top of the CPU which prevents the heat from dissapating properly. The cure is to hoover out the dust (don't blow it, it'll just go somewhere else). Hope that helps. Graham
