Hi, When I'm logged onto the internet and the mouse/keyboard is not used for about 30 secs the computer prompts to disconnect. Is there any way I can stop this and stay connected all the time.
ISP is Tiscali with 150 kbps Broardband
Cheers

As you're using DSL which a digital dial-up connection... try these; This will disable the the dialup autodisconnect. XP-- - Start, Control Panel, Network Connections
Right Click on your Tiscali connection and select Properties, select the Options tab.
- Make sure "Idle time before hangin up" is set to Never
- ME--
- Start, Dial-Up Networking then click on your Tiscali Connection.
- In the box that appears, Click Properties
- In the Properties windows, select Dialing
- Then disable or untick Enable Idle Disconnect
Or if that doesn't work.. try this on either PC - Click on Start
- Then Run
- Type Regedit and press Enter
- In regedit browse to...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Internet Settings
- Look for "EnableAutodial" and "EnableAutodisconnect" and set Autodisconnect to 01 00 00 00
Use Edit > New > Binary Value in regedit to create these if necessary.
Phew! Good Luck
