Hi there,
For the last month or so I've been getting emails from "kavkeeper@kres.com" saying " Virus found in message to you" or "from you". If there is a virus, then Norton isn't finding it, even though auto protect is always on and live update (updates) automatically whenever I'm connected. The emails appear up to four times a day and flood my inbox. How can I stop them?

Hi Bernie. Those emails you are receiving are literally what they say they are.. a virus alert. They will be caused by an email virus, although not necessarily from your computer. The way most of these email viruses work lately is that when the virus infects a computer, it will access the address book in Outlook or Outlook Express and send itself from the addresses it finds in there using it's own SMTP engine (SMTP is the protocol used to send emails). So this issue may be originating from someone you know who has your email address in their address book, and has the virus on their computer. All they might notice is that their computer or internet connection is running slower than usual. But everyone in their address book will be getting similar returned emails like yourself. Many companies & ISP's mail servers will automatically detect the virus and return the disinfected email to the address it came from, hence the returned emails that you are receiving. To be sure that your PC is not infected with a virus, run the 'Housecall' online virus scanner on the front page of Nethomehelp, that should confirm if Norton has or hasn't missed anything. If that finds nothing then it will definately be someone else's infected computer. In this case all you can do is wait until that person cleans the virus from their computer or until their ISP disconnects them for 'spamming'. Then the emails will stop. Vin
