Hi Brin, The problem you're having is due to the wrong language & keyboard layout being installed in Windows XP. To change this do the following; - Click 'Start'
- Click 'Control Panel'
- If your Control Panel is in 'Category View', click on 'Date, Time, Language & Regional Options',
then click on 'Regional & Language Options' or If your Control Panel is in 'Classic View' just double click on 'Regional & Language Options'
- In the 'Regional & Language Options' window click on the 'Languages' tab.
- Click the 'Details' button
- The 'Text Services & Input Languages' window should look like this....
- If you have more than one language in the white box, then remove the non UK entry by selecting it and clicking the 'Remove' button.
If there is no UK entry like the one in the image, then click the 'Add' button, pick United Kingdom in both boxes and click 'OK'
- Make sure that the 'Default Input Language' box at the top of the 'Text Services & Input Languages' window shows 'English (united Kingdom) - United Kingdom'
- Finally click the 'OK' button
Now your computer's language & keyboard will be properly setup.
