hope someone can help, my friend has got the new virus !!!!!!!!!!! can anyone tell me what he can do to fix the problem ??

Good news though... now in the 'Quick Links' on the front page of NetHomeHelp there is the Sasser Removal page to provide you with the software & information you need to get rid of the Sasser worm. For more information on the Sasser worm, click on the relevent Sasser name in the ' virus info' list on the right of the NetHome Help front page. There you can get the latest detailed information on the various variants of the worm. Vin

thanks for your help but the only thing is their is no network connection at all and i think something will have to be done in safe mode!! which is well above my head, but thnx again.

Ahh! That's something I've missed of the Sasser Removal page.. If Sasser is affecting your browser in a way where you cannot open any webpages, do the following... - Hold down Ctrl, Alt keys & press the Delete key.
- Select the Processes tab in the Task Manager
- Select any process beginning with avserve and click on End Task, repeat this process for any other processes beginning with avserve.
This will enable you to get on the web and follow the Sasser Removal instructions from the Nethomehelp front page. I'll stick that on the Sasser Removal page when I get a chance... Good Luck

hi thnx for your help but still the problem goes on !!!!did what you said but, this is crazy but the computer has gone back to a bt network instead of blueyonder got the world revolving again at top of screen, I give up !!!! thnx
