Hi,
I’m having problems setting up multiple email accounts after changing my email software. I am switching from MS entourage (on a mac – OSX), to thunderbird, and have also tried Mac’s ‘Mail’ programme. Both give me the same problem when trying to enter account details.
I have several email mailboxes supplied by my ISP – each allowing up to 3 ‘aliases’ – email addresses.
When I try to enter the account info for each of the aliases – it only lets me use the account ID (the ID of the mailbox) once. If I try enter it for the second address – it wont let me. Giving an error message “a mail or newsgroup account with the same username + server name already exists. Enter a different server name.”
You cant use the alias as an Account ID
Any ideas how I can set up email accounts for each email address – other than restricting myself to only 1 email address/alias per mailbox???
Strangely enough Entourage lets me do this fine
