;DHIYA NEW HERE JUS A QUICK QUESTION.IM RUNNING XP PRO ON A CELERON 2.5GIG WITH 512 DDR MEMORY,BEFORE I WAS USEING A N PENTIUM4 1.6 GIG WITH 386 SD RAM MEMORY ON XP PRO OS,BUT DIS CELERON SEEMS SO SLOW AT MULTI TASKING ITS UNREAL LOL,ANY IDEAS M8,2.5 SHOULD MULTI TASK BETTER SHOULDNT IT?,THANKS IN ADVANCE

True....
CPU performance doesn't solely rely on clock speed... One significant difference between the Pentium 4 & Celeron CPU's is the size of the built-in L2 Cache (the chip's internal buffer where data fed from RAM is queued before being processed), Celeron = 128KB cache, Pentium 4 1.6GHz = 256KB cache.
As you've found out, multitasking would be more efficient on a Pentium 4 even though the clock speed is slower...
For the record, the same issues currently exists when looking at laptops. A 1.7GHz Centrino based laptop out-performs a 2.6GHz Pentium 4-M based laptop for similar reasons.
You just can't trust clock speeds these days
