I have a bb package 512kb with telewest wif the standard modem that they suppily, connection was fine for the first few months, then the activity light on the front would go out and i couldnt connect online til id either shut down pc or pulled power lead from modem and reconnected again, ive search the web on this problem and many other people seem to have the same thing happening, telewest blame motorola saying you need to update the usb drivers, after updating countless times it still seems to die out every hour or so,which is a pain, wondered if any one knows how to fix it,when i rang telewest and explained it to there staff they said it was probally spyware on my pc ports[lol],even though i run norton 2004,run adware, spysweeper and have also install xp sp2 with built in firewall protection, still telewest say motorola should sort out the driver issue as its there hardware lol,any thoughts on this plz, unhappy telewest user

Hi 'Ef'.. I have a listing on the Fixes page for this very problem (XP/2000 fix no.2) Click Here to read. Just a note... Other problems can be caused by connecting the cable modem via USB through a USB hub. Always have it plugged into a local USB port. Ideally you should have the cable modem connected via LAN/Ethernet... especially if you're a gamer. Hope that helps.
