Right, I'm definitely inspired. I'm gonna have a go at my own site. Does anybody know of any decent tutorial websites I can visit? I could buy a book or actually study this kind of thing seriously but where's the pioneering spirit in that? Besides if the information is available on the net it will give me something to do in work! I have published a single page using the same pwp as this site but that was little more than a blind shot in the dark, no real thought process involved. You should have seen the grin on my face when it actually happened though. All suggestions appreciated.

i was bidding on html for dummies but i got outbid (cheap ass). I did find a lovely site www.pagetutor.com that holds your hand on the first steps into html. I'm not giving the url of the result of my hard work but rest assured your site designing title is not in danger of being taken. Some more that offer script samples and easy to follow tutorials are www.w3schools.comwww.dynamicdrive.comwww.flashkit.comOne thing that i cant seem to find is the script to put an icon in the address bar and next to the address in the favourites folder. Any ideas?

Yeah, dead easy that one... Create a 16x16 or 32x32 pixel 256 colour BMP image and call it favicon.ico and put it in the root of your webspace. (You can also get specific icon editor programs. Try www.webgrid.co.uk for a free one. I just used Photoshop)It will then show up in the address bar and next to the site when in the favorites/bookmark list All browsers look for a favicon.ico when accessing a site Make sure you know what you want before uploading coz once IE grabs the image it is pretty reluctant to change. Try something like Mozilla Firefox (on the downloads page)
