I have just changed to Telewest Broadband and am having trouble accessing secure pages eg. e-bay paying; bank log-in etc. I get a page saying: 'The page cannot be displayed' and 'Cannot find server or DNS Error - Microsoft Internet Explorer' Can you help please?

Hi Anne, You have'nt stated what version of Internet Explorer or Windows you're using, but the folowing fixes should sort you out..... This should work on Windows 2000 or XP...... - Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.
- At the command prompt, type the following lines and press ENTER after each line:
- regsvr32 softpub.dll
- regsvr32 wintrust.dll
- regsvr32 initpki.dll
- regsvr32 dssenh.dll
- regsvr32 rsaenh.dll
- regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll
- regsvr32 sccbase.dll
- regsvr32 slbcsp.dll
- regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll
[/b][/li][/ul][/li][li]Click OK when you receive each message that 'DllRegisterServer in *filename* succeeded'. [/li][li]Once done, close the command prompt window and try a secure site which should now work.[/li][/ul] Or...If that doesn't fix your problem or you are not using Windows 2000 / XP then try reinstalling Internet Explorer. Click here to begin reinstalling / updating Internet ExplorerVin

if anyone else has probs with this issue, go to www.websupportpage.co.uk and then utilities site and download the secure sites or blank pages patch at the bottom, they also have a link for 98/me and one for 2000/xp
