Hi there, One thing that would be useful is if you can remember the Administrator password for your PC. If you can login as Administrator then you should be able to reset your normal login to administrator level. Click here for instructions on how to login to the local administrator account. - Once you are able to login as the administrator (assuming you're using Windows XP), goto the 'Control Panel' and double click on 'User Accounts'.
- Under 'Pick an account to change', click on your normal account.
- Click on 'Change the account type' and make sure that 'Computer Adminstrator' is selected.
(or try changing it to limited, and changing it back to administrator).
Also, whilst you're logged in as Administrator, check again so make sure 'System Restore' is disabled & scan with Avast! again. Then restart Windows and login on your usual account. Hope that helps.... Good Luck
