i currently have at boot up 2 options of xp how can i delete 1?

Hi Andy.
You can change the bootup menu by editing the BOOT.INI file which is in the root of C:.
One way to easily access BOOT.INI is to goto control panel, system (in classic view), Advanced, Settings (under 'Startup & Recovery), Edit, and delete the appropriate line line that goes something like; 'multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\[appropriate winxp folder]="Microsoft Windows XP"'
...Or you can easily just disable the bootup menu by unticking the 'Time to display list of operating systmes' tick box in the Startup & Recovery windows mentioned before.
