Hi Vin, I went onto the Astalavista website 2 days ago and while following one of the links Avast detected a worm. I followed the instructions and sent it to the chest as recommended. All seemed OK until the next time I started up. At the end of the start up proceedure a folder popped up. It was a windows folder with about 8 sub folders in it. After about 10 seconds a run error came up and I ended the program. I have performed another virus scan with Avast and discovered one more virus but the folder still appearswhen I boot up. Any ideas on how I stop it? Cheers

try using housecall (found on the main mainpage on the right hand side) that can do a full scan of your pc and remove it. ive found that some viruses/trojans/worms are spread through spyware, i also use spybot ad-adaware and the new microsoft windows anti spyware programs (yeah, all 3 of them!!) and one of the programs will find out if you have any problems
