Hi, Can anybody please help? I keep getting a low disk space message and when I clean up what the computer suggests it then tellls me I only have x amount of space. My query is that I have had another hard drive added and save all new stuff there, however everything also seems to come up on the original "c" drive. I have checked if the items are on the new "f" drive and they are! Can someone recommend something I could do to put things right?
Cheers John

Hi .. Pretty simple answer really... move all large files to your F: drive and free up space on C:. If you have duplicate files across those drives then delete the older files and make sure everything is on F: in your preferred folders.... Also here's some tips... One way to quickly free up some space on your system drive and possibly improve the performance of your OS is to create a swap file on your F: drive and delete the one on C:. Do this by going into System Properties (hold Windows key & press the 'Pause/Break' key), click on the Advanced tab, press the 'settings' button under Performance, click the Advanced tab, click the 'Change' button under Virtual Memory. Now you're in the 'Virtual Memory' window, select your F: drive then select the 'Custom' option. 400MB initial size & 700MB maximum size should be sufficient for most situations. Enter the numbers in the appropriate boxes then click the Set button. Then select the C: drive, select the 'No Paging File' option and click on the Set button. Click the OK buttons and restart your PC. Another hunk of disk space is usually used up by System Restore. You can disable this by going back into System Properties as before, select the System Restore tab and tick the 'Turn off System Restore' box or move the slide bar all the way to the left. Then click OK and restart your PC...... You could also Delete your Temorary Internet Files. Sorted
