Hi
Once again i am having problems (possible run of bad luck), My Pc is only 6 months old and detailed below is the specs, windows XP home, 512 mb ram (DDR) 160 gb hard drive service pack 2 installed 3.20 ghz pentium 4 processer. I have recently been having problems running games the pc was installed with a radeon 9200 graphics card (128 mem) i got that frustrated i eventually went and bought a new graphics card a geforce 6600 LE (256 mem), before i installed the new graphics card i popped into PC world where i had brought the machine and explained my problem. when i explained that i was running Norton System Works 2005 the advisor informed me that was where my problem was, i asked how to get rid of the problem and he informed me that i should do F11 (complete system recovery which reinstates the PC to the way it was when i purchased it), i deceided that was the only thing to do, i did this and then installed the new graphics card at the same time. Well surprisingly the games i wanted to play are surperb with the graphics card but i now have another problem, i seem to have problems with memory when i first tried to run any games the system crashed out and gave me a message that my virtual memory was too low and that windows was trying to fix it, this message has now stopped but my memory usage is very high even when i am not running any programmes i have ctrl, alt, del and it tells me that i have between 39 and 42 process when i first boot up it tells me that my total physical mem is 523000, available 150520, system cache 204900 is this normal or do i have a problem, please can you help. Sorry for the long post but it was the only way i could explain it.
